VEI IV · Glutathione
Glutathione is an antioxidant the body makes on its own, and it is sometimes given as an IV along with fluids. It is widely known as a skin whitening IV, but the evidence for whitening is not sufficient. At VEI Clinic, we first clarify your goals and expectations during the consultation before deciding whether to proceed.

The formulation is tailored to you after your consultation, and not everyone is a candidate.
Many people ask about glutathione IVs for skin whitening, but regulators abroad have not approved the injection for whitening and have issued cautions. Studies of oral or topical glutathione also show small changes that may fade after stopping, and the evidence for the IV route is even more limited.
If pigmentation is your main concern, we recommend seeing a dermatologist and using consistent sun protection first. Results can differ from person to person, and the specialist decides whether it is suitable for you after your consultation.
Please let us know in advance if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney, liver or heart disease, have G6PD deficiency (a red blood cell enzyme deficiency) or drug allergies, take anticoagulants or diuretics, or recently had major surgery.
During the IV you may briefly feel chills or flushing, notice a metallic taste, or get a small bruise at the injection site. If dizziness persists or you have chest pain or trouble breathing, tell us right away. Because quality and sterility matter for injectables, we use products of verified quality.
An internal medicine specialist sees you in person before prescribing, and all IVs are given in private rooms. Most people can return to their normal day right after the visit, but if you tend to feel dizzy after IVs, keep your schedule light that day.
After the IV, we recommend drinking plenty of water and eating a light meal with protein and vegetables. If symptoms continue or get worse, please come back for a follow-up visit.
