VEI IV · NAD+

Involved in Cellular Energy Metabolism:
The Coenzyme NAD+

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism and DNA repair. At VEI Clinic, we decide after your consultation whether an intramuscular injection or an IV suits you better. It is not a procedure that treats illness or slows aging, but a supportive option alongside everyday self-care.

VEI Clinic, Gangnam — VEI IV · NAD+

Who It May Suit

The specialist assesses suitability and the route individually.

  • People who feel easily worn out after a heavy stretch of work
  • People who ate and drank too little after being unwell
  • People who want to discuss nutrient support alongside sleep, diet and stress management

Injection or IV

The specialist recommends a route based on your goals, history and how your body responds.

  • Intramuscular injection: a shorter visit with no IV line, though each dose may be smaller
  • IV: given slowly, with the rate adjusted if flushing or nausea appears; requires an IV line and monitoring

Evidence and Expectations

NAD+ pathways are an active area of research, but the effects of giving it by injection or IV are not yet well established. Claims about anti-aging, addiction or mood exist, but the evidence is lacking, and it cannot replace proven treatments.

Results can differ from person to person, and the specialist decides whether it is suitable for you after your consultation.

Precautions and Safety

You may have irritation at the injection site or vein, flushing, dizziness or nausea. Serious problems are uncommon in supervised settings, but the risk rises with poor sterility, so we use products of verified quality.

Please let us know in advance if you have kidney, heart or liver disease, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have drug allergies, or take prescription medications such as anticoagulants or diuretics.

How the Visit Works

  • Check-in and history: symptoms, goals, current medications, allergies and recent illness
  • Exam: vital signs, with tests if needed
  • Consultation and consent: deciding whether to proceed, the route and the amount
  • Injection or IV: given in a private room with monitoring and adjustments for comfort
  • Discharge guidance: advice on fluids, rest and daily care

The VEI Clinic Approach

An internal medicine specialist sees you in person before prescribing, and all injections and IVs are given in private rooms. Afterward, we recommend drinking plenty of water and eating a light meal; if you feel dizzy, rest and return to your day once you feel steady. If symptoms continue or get worse, please come back for a follow-up visit.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is an NAD+ injection an anti-aging treatment?

There is a rationale for studying NAD+ pathways, but a clinical anti-aging effect from injections or IVs has not been proven at this time.

Is it safe?

Most people tolerate it well in a medically supervised setting, but it is not without risk. Adverse events linked to contaminated injectables have been reported abroad, so we place great weight on quality and sterility.

Which is better, the injection or the IV?

It depends on your goals, history and how your body responds. The specialist recommends the route that fits you after your consultation.

How quickly will I feel different?

Some people feel steadier within a few hours to a day, but responses differ from person to person and are also shaped by rest, meals and hydration.
